The Winkie stable has bred some of the finest ball dahlias and Winkie Robot is hard to beat. A hot raspberry to watermelon with a peach base is how I would describe it. As the season progresses, the intensity does waver and you get a lovely antique pink peach dahlia. The best part? Winkie Watermelon is floriferous! I’m going to be honest - for all its wonderful attributes, it does have one flaw… be prepared for cyclop eyes early in the season. The green eyes are huge when it first flowers and begins to close up with subsequent blooms come late summer.
