She is such a quintessential cut flower that, somehow, I never managed to take a proper photo — every beautiful stem simply disappeared straight into bouquets!
The most whimsical thing has been happening with this batch of Bracken Sequel over the past few seasons. I can’t guarantee it will happen for everyone, but on certain plants, the petals have fused together and transformed the blooms into something resembling a little “daffodil”. I’ve kept these unusual clumps separate, although this fascinating trait appears randomly and doesn’t occur every season.
